Todd is another lemon Beagle (he came in with Norm). Todd also is a barkless Beagle and we're not sure why. I guess maybe he just likes to keep his opinions and secrets to himself. This means he would make a great confidante for someone but wouldn't be very good at writing a gossip column.
The best way to check on the adoption status of this dog (and other dogs and cats and other small domestic animals) is to visit Toronto Animal Services adoption website or call 416 338 6668 for the Toronto Animal Services South shelter. If the dog is no longer on the TAS adoption website, it's probably because it's been adopted already.

My beagle cross didn't bark at all when we met him at the shelter (KW Humane Society) and for about a week after we brought him home, but now he's an about average-ly bark-y dog. I assume it was just his response to the stress of being without a pack. (He was 10 months old when his first people surrendered him at the shelter and 11 months old when I adopted him.)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how you determined that the dogs were barkless, but I thought I'd mention it in case a condo dweller has an unpleasant surprise. (I live in a detached house so Sammy's bark isn't an issue.
I love his questioning face, Hope he finds someone who has the answers for him
