I've never seen so many dogs up for adoption at Toronto Animal Services South. TAS-West has something wrong with its roof so all their dogs got transported over to TAS-S. TAS-East is supposedly filled up so TAS-S is getting some of their dogs as well.
There were a few adoptions over the weekend but not enough to bring the numbers down too much so I had to rush through the photo sessions and didn't end up taking as many shots of each dog as I normally do.
Here is Rocky (confusing because there was also another Rocky as well as a Rocket at the shelter), a young miniature Poodle, who will jump into your lap if given half a chance.
The best way to check on the adoption status of this dog (and other dogs and cats and other small domestic animals) is to visit Toronto Animal Services adoption website or call 416 338 6668 for the Toronto Animal Services South shelter. If the dog is no longer on the TAS adoption website, it's probably because it's been adopted already.

You might have felt rushed, but that second expression is still priceless. Ever so slightly quizzical, 'mister, can you explain what you're doing', you can almost see the little shrug that goes with it.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to volunteer. I faxed my application in June but never heard anything.
Rushed or not, these are great photos! He is just TOO cute.
ReplyDeleteHi Teena, they can be slow with responses. It took about six months before they got back to me when I applied. Have you tried calling them for an update?
