I opened up your blog today to the "unnamed Lab" on December 4, and thought, "Oh, sweet dog, beautiful picture (as always), but I miss Fred's words and I want to know how Rocky is." Then I scrolled down a bit, and there I found both. As others have said, it is so good to read your words because I think they express what so many of us who love animals think. I wish the news about Rocky could be different. You've had too much sorrow these days. Damn life, so full of sorrow. But thank god and dogs for the joy too.
What a great picture...what a great dog! I heard someone say once "Labs never have a bad day" and it's true. Sweetest dogs ever.
