This Coonhound, in particular, is not peculiar at all and, like many hounds, is an expert at sticking his nose to the ground and following whatever scent it picks up. His other hobbies include eating sticks and getting ear rubs.

If I recall correctly they were actually named after an early breeder. It just happens to fit. I've been looking at Blueticks on Petfinder and fortunately (or unfortunately) there are lots in my area.
ReplyDeleteThe orginal breed is a mix between bloodhounds and foxhounds, meant for agility, speed, great sense of smell, and more over a very loving breed, wanting nothing more then to make their owner happy. I have a purebred and shes much darker then moose, he almost looks like a mix between redbone and an engilish coonhound, very hansom guy. Amazing breed!
