Shera - German Shepherd mix

Shera is a very shy dog. I opened her kennel door and I sat quietly for ten minutes before she would come out to say hello. The whole time she exhibited submissive behaviour - looking away, sniffing the floor, retreating. Once we finished our walk and she got to more used to me, she became quite affectionate and demanded a seat on the bench beside me and there we sat in the afternoon sun watching the people go by.

    Shera's about 2 years old. Her previous owner got too sick and had to give her up. She really is a very nice dog but she needs someone who will be home quite a lot as she has some separation anxiety issues due to her last owner being home 24/7.

    I have a dog that looks very much like this one...when he poses! His name is Sparky. All we know is that he has a German Shepherd Mix. We got him from a shelter in Independence, Missouri as a rescue when he was 2.5 years old in December 2015. That was nearly 4 years ago!
