Toronto Animal Services South Adopt-a-thon weekend

Woofstock is the big dog event this weekend but for those who want to check out something a little calmer, there will be a Toronto Animal Services South adopt-a-thon at Dufferin Grove Park (at 875 Dufferin St. right across from the Dufferin Mall) from 10 am - 5 pm, both Saturday and Sunday. Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters & guinea pigs will be available for adoption. It won't just be about adoptions, though. People can learn more about animal care and what TAS does. There will be activities for kids, face-painting and the park is making pizza in their brick stove. There will also be a few tables of pet supplies, treats and toys that people can buy for a donation, 100% of which will go to TAS South adoption program.
